February 2017 - Trinity Laban Dance Conservatoire Creekside  

Student composers are contributing short works for an ensemble which are placed between each of Bach’s solo violin pieces. These will be the result of work over the previous week and the composers will be mentored by Eleanor Alberga whilst Tom Bowes will be discussing and helping players during the week on all aspects of these works.more

April 23rd, 2015 : BBC PROMS PRESS LAUNCH ANNOUNCES:

A new commission by British/Jamaican composer, Eleanor Alberga, headlined the final concert of the BBC Proms, Europe’s largest classical music festival. The world-famous "Last Night of the Proms" took place on Saturday September 12 2015 when Eleanor’s new work, “Arise, Athena!” opened the evening. Taking place at the iconic Royal Albert Hall, London, the Last Night of the Proms reaches millions of viewers and listeners via its live broadcasts on BBC1 television and BBC Radio 3 as well as being streamed live on the internet and broadcast across the world.

NESTA

Eleanor Alberga was awarded the prestigious NESTA fellowship in 2001. NESTA - the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts - was set up by Act of Parliament in 1998. Its mission is to support and promote talent, innovation and creativity in science, technology and the arts. Fellowships provide exceptional people with the time, space and resources to pursue their creative goals, explore, experiment, pursue a hunch, break new ground and develop their talent.

Arcadia

Eleanor Alberga is co-founder and joint artistic director of the Arcadia Festival in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside. This year's concerts are between October 2nd and 4th. See Arcadia website for more details.
